Funny Games -- Posted by Rayna on Monday, February 25 2008
A slightly different Funny Games trailer with an intro by Michael Pitt & Brady Corbet.

Interview from the March 2008 issue of Alternative Press Magazine:

According to SlashFilm.com, there's also an interview in the latest issue of Giant Magazine...
Brooklynite actor Michael Pitt has come a long way from starring on Dawson’s Creek, and in the current issue of Giant magazine he delivers, in context, some particularly vapid-funny-traditionally-hipster quotes about the Saw franchise, U.S. soldiers and people who won’t/don’t "get" the March remake of Funny Games.
On his film preferences...
"I don’t even know what Saw or Hostel are. Are they like Texas Chainsaw Massacre? I guess I’m drawn to things like Lawrence of Arabia."
And then he adds...
"[Audiences that don’t like Funny Games] can kiss my ass. I hope they do [get angry with] Funny Games. It challenges you. If you’re not up to the challenge, go see Saw."
"People think that, until you’ve killed someone or had someone shoot at you, you’re not a grown-up. Going to war isn’t growing up; it’s moving backwards."
I wasn't able to find this magazine, but if anyone out there happens to pick it up and is able to scan it, I'd be most grateful.

Here's an exclusive interview from Shocktillyoudrop.com with Michael and Funny Games co-star Brady Corbet.
Here's another one from FilmCatcher.com. - Sounds like Michael was growing weary from all the promotion and press interviews. Not an unusual occurrence. He's never been shy about voicing his distaste for press junkets.
This one is an audio interview Michael did with Cinematical promoting Funny Games. You can also download it from itunes by subscribing here.
I made a rather large Gallery update today. Lot's of photoshoots and new photos from Sundance. Here's a peek...

Michael Pitt in his favorite Uniqlo T-shirt.![]()
"Famed photographer Terry Richardson has been called upon to document a series of photo's of personalities wearing their favorite Uniqlo shirts. These personalities include model Missy Rayder, actor Michael Pitt, musician Alison Mosshart, and Japanese photographer Keiichi Nitta as well as some up and coming artists from the New York area. Ironically these artists were scouted through what some call one of the truest forms of expression, MySpace. These assortment of photo's will be forever captured in print through the release of a limited edition hard cover book to be sold throughout Uniqlo's starting in mid-May."

Upcoming Films:
Pinkville directed by Oliver Stone has been "announced". However, according to Variety; "Stone was just about to get under way in Southeast Asia in early December when UA unplugged "Pinkville," a drama about the investigation of the My Lai massacre in 1968. The film was to star Bruce Willis, Channing Tatum, Woody Harrelson, Xzibit, Michael Pitt and Toby Jones.
Pic was shelved because neither Stone nor screenwriter Mikko Alanne would be able to hone the script any further, since each is a Writers Guild of America member. Stone is a filmmaker accustomed to making changes throughout production, and that was not an option with a strike going on."
Pericle il Nero directed by Abel Ferrara. Currently "in production". This is a prequel to the 1990 film King of New York.

I swear I haven't abandoned the site! -- Posted by Rayna on Friday, November 30 2007
Again, I must apologize for the lapse... I am currently in the process of making all the necessary updates to the site itself in the way of Video and Official movie site links. (That will be done tonight.) I should have myself organized enough to make a decent (long overdue) news update in the next couple of days. The Gallery updates may take a little longer though. I've got a mountain of photos to sort through.
I appreciate your continued patience.
